Fermanagh Occurence

There are eight Fermanagh records for this section, lying in seven tetrads to the west of Lough Erne. The records were mainly made using the very basic key provided in the 6th edition of An Irish Flora. All of them need further expert checking and determination. Unfortunately, all, or almost all, of the records are without vouchers. The plants had a persistent basal leaf rosette present at the flowering stage (often consisting of only a few leaves) and they had some leaves more or less clasping the stem. This group contains at least 13 microspecies in Ireland, most of them being rare and local.
For what they are worth, the remaining record details are: Boho Churchyard, 14 September 1991, RHN; calcareous grassland, Knockmore Hill, 30 May 1991, RHN; highest scarp of Pollaphuca (or Poulaphouca) cliffs, 26 October 1992, RHN & F. Carroll; wooded scarp, Pollaphuca (or Poulaphouca), 26 June 1993, RHN; Leganiska Td, Cloghan Hill, 3 km S of Belcoo, 1 September 1996, RHN & HJN; upland calcareous grassland, Pollanaffrin, near Arduagh, 21 August 1998, RHN, RSF & HJN; Carrickbeg cliffs, overlooking Ross Lough, 17 August 2000, RHN & RSF.
